This service provides supervised visits for children in care to meet with their families, support children in crisis and emergent situations, and provide other support services to children in care, as needed.
Through supportive and respectful listening, the Supervised Visit Worker can provide:
- a needed break for the parent or caregiver when a child/youth is in the hospital,
- a calm transfer for children/youth between parents and foster parents, and
- transport children in care to visits with family.
Referrals to this program are made for children/youth in care by their MCFD Social Worker.
